I remember since we were in grade 1, we were taught where we came from. But as a Filipino, we were taught that Filipinos came from 3 major groups of people. I got this idea of sharing who our ancestors are since I happen to communicate with a Malaysian and an Indonesian and told them that we are related to them and they are could not believe it.
1. The first of the 3 major settlers of the Philippine islands were the Negritos. They are small in stature, have dark kinky hair, and almost black skin. The eyes of the Negritos are round but the nose are short and flat. Another name for Negritos is Aetas. The approximate height of the Aetas are 4ft to 5ft. Their lips are thicker than that of the Africans but theirs are nor protruding. The typical Aeta nose is described as broad, flat, bridgeless. The nostrils are prominently arched almost as high as the central cartilage of the nose and is invariably visible from the front.
(Good thing rhinoplasty was invented. This is also the reason why thousands of Filipinas want to have a nose job.)
The Aetas are not hairy. In fact, some of them do not have hair in the armpits. Their hands are small but the feet are remarkably large.
It is believed that the Negritos who came to the Philippines did not come from Africa but from Papua New Guinea.

This is what we were taught and I hope no one would get offended.

Wow...this is really interesting and fascinating. I have never really studied the origins of Pan Asian and South Asian peoples as much as I would like to. Please post more! ;)
It is good to know you are interested to know where we came from.
The content is kinda long so am like writing it in series.
I thought the Malaysians and Indonesians knew that we came from them.
I hope they are just as proud as we are to be their distant relatives.
I am looking forward to the next segment of this!
